PHENIX Compuring Center in Japan (CC-J)
PBS
The PHENIX CC-J has been testing an
Portable Batch System (PBS).
The Portable Batch System (PBS) is a batch queueing system developed
at NAS. It is similar to its distant
ancestor, NQS, but provides more flexibility and functionality.
PBS operates on networked, multi-platform
UNIX environments, including heterogeneous clusters of workstations, supercomputers, and massively parallel
systems.
